Right well new New Year, new forum and what better way to start it off than with boobs.

Started this Pegaso model on New Year's day and I am so glad I did.

Funnily enough I saw this mini briefly yesterday when I popped onto the Pegaso site too. She is looking very nice - although the 'outfit' looks damn uncomfortable :cry Lovely skin tone - have you used an airbrush 'cos it's super smooth ;) Love the kinky red boots too - again looking nice, but the picture is slightly dark, so not sure if you need to push the high/low lights. Great start though :D

Hi Damien! welcome to the site.

first or all, very nicely model, its very smooth, light is well placed and the red is looking nice, from what i can see from the pics (they need more light!) ur need to push ur highlights, especially on the skin. the highlights on the boots look good, but could do with a few light spots just to make it pop, the skin needs a bit more, especially on top of the boobs and on the face (their the important parts u want to draw attention to). the purple eyeshadow am not sold on, i think u might be better off with green (xmas colours) or a desaturated blue (contrast colour to the red and the skin, also a cold colour contrast)
The hair maybe could do with a little more of the midtone in places.

    Very nicely painted model fella!

@ Toosh - thanks pal, no airbrushing all done with a regular brush, I am yet to get my head around airbrushes something I want to try and remedy.

@ Darkmessiah - Thanks pal, I am not sold on the purple eye shadow either, however I like the idea of blue.....not sure what I was thinking really other than as I usually do the eye shadow blue I wanted to try something different. And agreed on the hair, I think it does need a little more work. Not sure on the skin though, what I will do, is as I am watching the football tonight and won't get much painting done for all the shouting at the TV, I will set up my lightbox and get some decently lit photos for you to have a look at, I will also do some from a different angle to show the exposed part of the face better as the picture makes it look a lot darker than it actually is.

Appreciated and fully agreed with pal, and I am the first to hold my hand up and say "I suck at photography" and rarely get a true representation of my models.

    *edit*
Its also nice to get replies that don't just say "that's awesome", end of the day doesn't offer any sort of help, so happily keep tearing my stuff apart pal inspite of my cackhanded pictures. :)

Welcome to Platoon Britannica Damien, great to see you here.

Love the mini, it's very different from your nurgle stuff but I suppose sometimes a change is as good as a rest. I don't think I can add much to some of the already brilliant suggestions apart from maybe adding more colour tones to the skin.

I might have problems with the light box Darkmessiah.....just found out some genious boyracer has crashed into a power relay thingy in the village and the village is currently without power, so it looks like my night might very well be, no painting, no photographing, no football, sat in the cold reading to candlelight

much better! am sticking to what I originally said though u need to push ur highlights, less on the boobs but defo on the face, it needs to have more contrast so its the focal point, i think u could push the shadows around the inside of the legs. the boots are looking great, although maybe they could be a tad smoother on the highlights midtones?

I agree. Especially about the face. She has nice boobs and all, but we ought to be looking at the face ;)

I did a little bit of work on the face after the football, increasing the highlights, tried to smooth out the boots and did the marble plinth she is squatting on, was midnight when i finished so didn't take any pictures.

You carry on looking at the face Scott, I'll carry on looking elsewhere :p . Strangely enough my first thought is how painful it must be to wear what she's wearing whilst kneeling like that. Poor girl.

Great painting though - lovely skin tones. I'll be honest and say I'm not a huge fan of boobs-out fantasy, but I can't deny it's a good sculpt and you're painting it really well!

the face is looking better, although could do with some more shots just to see what uv done :p the base is looking cool, the different types of grass add tonal variation, although i think ur lacking that variation on the ground colour a little. are u tempted to do some writing on the gravestone?

Base is looking good, personally I'd throw in some warmer red tonnes in the soil as Dark pointed out. I'd lean towards red hues to help tie it to the model with the boots. Atm you have no main colors from the model in the base.

The face looks good, although we'd need closer pics, maybe now glaze a few more mid tonnes on the central part of the forehead, not sure because its not close up but it's looking a tad too white now in comparison to th rest of her skin. Glazing rely thinly ought to bring the color back but not loose that focal brightness that you've now achieved. A red rust pigment would do nicely for that.

I do like your painting though, its very nice. Welcome to the forums ;)

    WoW!

    Hubba-hubba!

    Aaaaarrrrroooooooooooooooo!

Very nice. The base is amazing, the flesh tones now look smooth as silk but I can certainly see where people had previously commented on the face, much better in the last set of pics. I don't know I'd do much personally to redden the soil, the eye is naturally drawn to the model, which as I see it is where it should be.

It certainly seems a shame that there was no writing moulded into the headstone though, that would seem to be a real pain to add at this stage, and just painting it on may seem a little flat, even with your excellent skills - I wouldn't stand a chance.

The only colour choice I would have done differently would have been the stockings. I just feel they would have fitted the persona better if they had been black, possibly with a design in them, which would also have possibly given you the option of colouring the 'mankini' in red to match the boots. Still, that is purely down to personal taste, and I am still picking my jaw off the floor at the skill with which you have painted her.

Can't wait to see her with her wings on. Are they feathered or more bat-like? (Obviously my comments about the colours would change if they are feathered, I imagine the wings to be more bat-like and would colour her accordingly.)

@Darkmessiah - I will sort some new pictures when get my lightbox out, sorry it has to be set up and broke down everytime I use it due to a serious lack of space. In reference to the headstone, I made a serious boo boo there, when I made the base I angled it wrong so if I was to do the writing on the front the actual grave would be below the plinth the angel is on and when I did the writting on the rear it just looked wrong....so it is a valuable lesson learnt, more patience when planning the base. You have a point about the lack of colour variation on the soil I was thinking the same, I will add some pigments here and there spice it all up a bit.

@skraaal - Thanks pal, pretty much same reply as the one to Dark.

@Conrad Turner - Thanks pal. What can I say......I have a fetish for white stockings, don't think I need to over elaborate on that.
